Pits
Last updated October 14, 2026
Pits are public forums, one per topic, open to everyone on TMC. Everything in a Pit is public. Anyone can read it. Writing and voting need an account that has traded.
How a Pit works
- A Pit is a forum about one topic, run by its moderators.
- Each coin can have its own Pit, opened by its first thread. The Discuss button of a coin opens its Pit.
- Threads are sorted by votes: Hot shows threads with many recent votes first, New shows the newest, Top shows the highest score over the period you pick, and Rising shows young threads gaining votes fast.
- Your Pits shows threads from the Pits you joined, and Popular shows threads from every Pit.
Join and post
- Search a topic first. If the Pit does not exist, you can create it yourself.
- Press Join on the Pits you like. Their threads then show in Your Pits.
- Read a thread. Press the arrow to upvote when it is useful, or the other arrow when it is not. Press again to take your vote back.
- To write a thread or a comment, you need an account that has made one trade on TMC and is older than 24 hours. Voting has the same rule.
- Reply to a comment to answer it. Replies stop at 8 levels, and you can click the line on the left of a branch to fold it.
Votes, moderators and reports
- Each account has one vote per thread or comment, and never on its own.
- Votes on comments bring the useful ones up in Best.
- Moderators set the rules and the flairs of a Pit, and can pin, lock or remove threads. A locked thread stops new comments, and votes still work.
- Report anything that breaks the rules. Moderators and TMC read the reports.
Note:
Everything in a Pit is public. Never share a seed phrase or a private key, and treat every message as an opinion, never as advice from TMC.
